About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its established rehabilitation team at Carlyle in Kingstree, South Carolina. The PTA will support patients in regaining strength, mobility, and independence while working collaboratively with the rehabilitation team to provide quality care and help patients achieve their therapy goals. The role includes assisting with treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, providing direct patient care, monitoring and documenting progress, and educating patients and families about treatment protocols and self-care. The PTA will coordinate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to support effective treatment outcomes.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
Monitor and document patient progress and report observations to the Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to coordinate patient care and support effective treatment outcomes.
