About The Position

Pain & Rehabilitation Physicians and ANEW Regenerative Medicine Specialists are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join their growing outpatient rehabilitation team. This is an opportunity to work in an integrated environment alongside physical therapists and a physician specializing in physical medicine, pain medicine, sports medicine, and regenerative musculoskeletal care. Our patients are frequently dealing with orthopedic injuries, osteoarthritis, chronic musculoskeletal pain, or recovery following advanced procedures. Our rehabilitation team works closely with the medical team rather than functioning as an isolated department. You may have opportunities to participate in rehabilitation programs associated with treatments such as PRP, prolotherapy, shockwave therapy, laser therapy, and other non-surgical musculoskeletal treatments. For a PTA who enjoys learning, this provides exposure to an unusually broad range of musculoskeletal care.

Requirements

  • Current Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant license or ability to obtain Michigan licensure before beginning employment
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately and promptly
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Physical Therapist Assistant education
  • Michigan licensure status
  • Relevant clinical experience

Nice To Haves

  • Outpatient orthopedic or musculoskeletal rehabilitation experience
  • Strong therapeutic exercise and manual therapy skills
  • Experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, pain management, or rehabilitation
  • Interest in learning about regenerative medicine and advanced non-surgical musculoskeletal care
  • EMR experience
  • CPR certification
  • Newer graduates with strong clinical skills, initiative, and a genuine interest in outpatient rehabilitation

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized physical therapy treatments according to the established plan of care
  • Use therapeutic exercise, mobility training, functional rehabilitation, and appropriate manual techniques
  • Help patients improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and function
  • Educate patients about their rehabilitation program and home exercises
  • Monitor patients during treatment and communicate changes in status to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Document treatments accurately and on time
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, medical assistants, and other members of the healthcare team
  • Help maintain an efficient, positive, and patient-centered rehabilitation environment
  • Participate in rehabilitation of patients receiving advanced musculoskeletal and regenerative treatments
