About The Position

America’s Best, part of National Vision, is an optical retailer focused on providing attentive eye care and exceptional service. The Optician helps customers with eyewear and contact lens dispensing, provides product education, and supports patient care and store performance. The role also contributes to operational quality, inventory and merchandising standards, and a clean, organized work environment. America’s Best stores are closed on Sundays.

Requirements

Hold an active dispensing license as required by the state.
Have 3 or more years of related experience or training.
Demonstrate strong customer service and clear communication abilities.
Have confident selling skills and the ability to meet store goals.
Be organized, detail-minded, and able to multitask in a busy setting.
Be professional, friendly, and comfortable working with a variety of people.

Previous retail experience.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with eyeglass and contact lens dispensing, including contact lens insertion and removal training and product education.
Deliver customer service while meeting sales goals and company objectives.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage order follow-up, including customer notifications and weekly outreach.
Reduce remakes, follow safety standards, and adhere to company policies.
Maintain inventory control and merchandising standards, and keep the work environment clean and organized.
Mentor Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
