About The Position
The Licensed Optician assists in leading a Ray-Ban luxury retail store by building and maintaining a strong client following and consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences to exceed service and sales expectations. The role supports the Store Manager in ensuring optical quality controls are followed and eyewear meets the store’s accuracy standards. The position also involves maintaining sales-floor and back-office presentation standards, inventory controls, and current product and fashion knowledge; supporting store policies, training, mentoring, and events; and exemplifying Luxottica Retail’s vision, mission, and values.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- State licensure or certification as an optician by a nationally recognized opticianry association.
- At least 2 years of sales experience in the luxury service industry.
- Knowledge of current optical theory and practices.
- Ability to build a client following.
- Sales experience.
- Polished appearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Resourceful and results-driven.
- Computer skills.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Maintain extremely high standards of sales and service.
- Meet and exceed client service and sales standards by consistently delivering an exceptional experience.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and a client following.
- Guide customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to their lifestyle, wardrobe, prescription, and price needs.
- Accurately take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute all related details.
- Ensure finished eyewear meets Luxury Retail standards for accuracy.
- Stay current on product knowledge and fashion trends to drive sales.
- Maintain presentation standards on the sales floor and in the back office.
- Maintain inventory controls.
- Understand and support Luxury Retail policies and procedures.
- Train and mentor managers and associates.
- Support the setup and execution of events.
- Exemplify Luxottica Retail’s vision, mission, and values, celebrate wins, and lead by example.
- Support the Store Manager in ensuring optical quality controls are in compliance.
