About The Position

The Licensed Optician helps lead a Ray-Ban Luxury Retail store by building and maintaining a strong client following and delivering exceptional service to exceed sales and service expectations. The role supports the Store Manager in ensuring optical quality controls are followed. The Licensed Optician advises customers on frames and lenses suited to their lifestyle, wardrobe, prescription, and budget, and ensures measurements, fittings, adjustments, and finished eyewear meet exacting accuracy standards. The position also supports store presentation, inventory controls, training, and events while modeling the company’s vision, mission, and values.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• State licensure or certification as an optician by a nationally recognized opticianry association.
• At least 2 years of sales experience in the luxury service industry.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and practices.
• Ability to build a client following.
• Sales experience.
• Polished appearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Resourcefulness and a results-driven approach.
• Computer skills.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptionally high standards of sales and service.
• Meet and exceed client service and sales standards by consistently delivering an exceptional experience.
• Build customer relationships and develop a strong client following.
• Guide customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to their lifestyle, wardrobe, prescription, and price needs.
• Accurately take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute all related details.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets Luxury Retail standards for accuracy.
• Stay current on product knowledge and fashion trends to drive sales.
• Maintain presentation standards on the sales floor and in the back office.
• Maintain inventory controls.
• Understand and support Luxury Retail policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor Managers and Associates.
• Support the setup and execution of events.
• Exemplify Luxottica Retail’s vision, mission, and values, celebrate wins, and lead by example.
• Support the Store Manager in ensuring optical quality controls are compliant.
