About The Position
Visiting Angels is seeking a compassionate Licensed Nursing Assistant to provide one-on-one care to seniors in their homes, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent. The role offers meaningful work, a supportive team, and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients. Available shifts include day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. Benefits are available to eligible employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience caring for seniors and/or adults with disabilities, professionally or personally.
- Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Comfortable using a smartphone to clock in/out and complete documentation.
Nice To Haves
- Dementia and Alzheimer's care experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation.
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Run errands and grocery shop.
- Transport clients to appointments and community activities.
- Document care using a smartphone application.
- Help promote each client's safety, comfort, and independence.
