About The Position

Covenant Psychiatric & Mental health Services, LLC was created to improve access to mental health care in communities where seeking mental health treatment is not “the norm”. We aim to educate and inform individuals and communities on mental health related-challenges and ways to cope. We provide mental health services, psychoeducation, supervision, consultations and more to meet the needs of our community. We also give back to our community through a variety of charitable efforts. The Therapist or Therapist Associate position is responsible for providing assessments, psychotherapy and group therapy for a caseload inclusive of adults, adolescents, and/or families experiencing symptoms related to mental health.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or Similar.
  • Licensure in Maryland as one of the following: LCPC, LGPC/LGMFT or Resident in Counseling may be considered.
  • Must have the ability to work remotely.
  • Evening and/or weekend availability.
  • Must have at least 3 months experience providing telehealth and strong comfort level with technology.
  • Must be accountable and collaborative. Working remotely, clinician will be expected to proactively take ownership of key tasks, and keep in regular communication with the team.
  • Must have a passion for working with diverse communities.
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills and good organizational skills.
  • Must maintain organization, coworker, and client confidentiality and abide by the Data Privacy Act and the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, Insurance billing, social media marketing
  • Experience with speaking engagements, workshops and facilitating trainings
  • Licensed in more than one state, specifically DC, MD and VA

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate clients’ mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, and collaboration with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling to clients, individually and/or in group sessions, to assist them in meeting their treatment goals.
  • Use evidence-based treatment approaches to provide quality care to assigned caseload.
  • Modify treatment interventions and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients’ status and every 6 months
  • Submit billing and other related paperwork in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain all professional licensure(s) required and provide prompt cooperation with third party credentialing for billing purposes
  • Maintain up-to-date client and program records and submit all notes for services within 24 hours.
  • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of records related to clients’ treatment.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
