About The Position

Backpack Healthcare is expanding to Illinois and is seeking to build its clinical team from the ground up. This role offers an opportunity to shape the future of behavioral healthcare access for children, teens, young adults, and their families across the state. Care is delivered entirely online and covered by most insurance. The company is clinician-led, minority-owned, and committed to supporting its therapists. This position offers flexibility for both full-time and part-time schedules.

Requirements

Active Illinois license: LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
Comfort with technology and virtual clinical platforms

Responsibilities

Conducting clinical intakes and developing individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans
Providing individual, family, and group therapy
Collaborating with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of our interdisciplinary team
Providing family education and care coordination
Maintaining timely and accurate documentation in our EHR
Building strong therapeutic relationships with clients and families
Delivering culturally responsive care that recognizes each family's unique needs
