About The Position

Backpack Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide virtual behavioral health services to children, teens, and young adults in Illinois. The role emphasizes culturally responsive and trauma-informed care, with a strong preference for bilingual English/Spanish speaking clinicians to serve the growing Spanish-speaking community. The position offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing for part-time or full-time work, and focuses on making a meaningful impact on families' lives through accessible, high-quality mental health care.

Requirements

Active Illinois license: LPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LCSW
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Commitment to trauma-informed care

Nice To Haves

Bilingual English/Spanish fluency
Experience providing culturally responsive care to Spanish-speaking families
Weekend availability

Responsibilities

Conducting clinical intakes and assessments
Developing client-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
Providing individual, family, and group therapy via telehealth
Collaborating with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of our interdisciplinary team
Maintaining timely and accurate documentation in our EHR
Providing family education and care coordination
Delivering culturally responsive care that recognizes each family's unique needs and experiences
