About The Position

Backpack Healthcare is expanding to Illinois and is seeking to build its clinical team from the ground up. This role offers an opportunity to join an established organization while helping to shape its presence in a new market. The position involves providing high-quality behavioral healthcare to children, teens, young adults, and their families entirely online, covered by most insurance. Backpack Healthcare is clinician-led, minority-owned, and focused on supporting its therapists. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

Active Illinois license: LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
Comfort with technology and virtual clinical platforms

Bilingual English/Spanish clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Conduct clinical intakes and develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans.
Provide individual, family, and group therapy via secure telehealth.
Collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Provide family education and care coordination.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EHR.
Build strong therapeutic relationships with clients and families.
Deliver culturally responsive care that recognizes each family's unique needs.
