Licensed Mental Health Professional - Part-Time (ACPC, LCPC, AMFT, LMFT, ACSW /LMSW)
About The Position
The Licensed Mental Health Professional works in a correctional facility to ensure inmates receive appropriate mental health services and care while incarcerated. The role includes conducting intake evaluations and screenings, providing therapeutic interventions and suicide prevention, developing treatment plans, monitoring the clinical needs of patients on a caseload, training staff on mental health topics, and documenting findings in accordance with company and facility policies. This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week, scheduled Thursday through Saturday during the day; Saturday is required. Applicants must reside in the United States.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another related mental health discipline.
- At least one year of experience in a mental health treatment program; correctional or hospital experience is preferred.
- Unrestricted, current license in the state of practice, such as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, or Psychologist.
- Maintain all required licensures, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
- Must reside in the United States.
- Available to work 20 hours per week, Thursday through Saturday during the day; Saturday is required.

Responsibilities
- Conduct screening, assessments, and triages for inmates referred by security, healthcare staff, and other community sources, and recommend an appropriate level of care.
- Develop and recommend treatment plans; conduct treatment services such as psychoeducational and transitional groups; and provide suicide-prevention interventions and management techniques.
- Respond to sick call requests, provide medication adherence support, and coordinate with prescribing providers for medication evaluations.
- Provide crisis intervention, oversee the clinical needs of patients on the caseload, and participate in multidisciplinary treatment-team and administrative meetings.
- Provide staff training on relevant mental health topics.
- Document findings in patients’ health records and ensure compliance with facility and company policies and procedures.
