About The Position

CHE Behavioral is seeking a licensed mental health clinician to provide high-quality clinical services to older adult patients in long-term care and rehabilitation centers. The role is part of a multispecialty team focused on increasing access to mental health services and reducing stigma. Clinicians support patients with conditions such as cognitive impairment, depression, anxiety, and behavioral disturbances through therapy, assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing care. The position is listed as full-time or part-time and offers flexible scheduling.

Requirements

Currently licensed in New York as an LPC, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Psychologist.
Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology.
Strong clinical experience in geriatric mental health, with a focus on older adults.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group therapy to patients with various mental health conditions, including cognitive impairment, depression, anxiety, and behavioral disturbances.
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify patients’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
Monitor patients’ progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate and detailed records.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and interdisciplinary conferences to stay current with best practices and guidelines.
Demonstrate commitment to patient-centered care, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
