About The Position
Equinox is seeking results-driven Licensed Massage Therapists to provide manual therapy in a premium wellness environment. The role takes a multimodal approach to manual therapy and encourages incorporating movement science. The therapist performs deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and Swedish massage sessions of varying lengths; assesses clients’ current needs and develops programmatic treatment plans; maintains a clean treatment room; and follows state regulatory requirements for intake forms, waivers, and SOAP notes. Evening and weekend availability is required. Part-time and full-time positions are available.
Requirements
- Possess a valid California license or certification.
- Have an in-depth understanding of anatomy and movement in relation to soft tissue manipulation.
- Have excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Be willing to learn and bring positive energy.
- Be computer literate.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct.
- Have evening and weekend availability.
- Have the legal right to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of work in the field; candidates meeting this qualification may be considered for an elevated compensation package.
Responsibilities
- Perform 25-, 50-, 80-, and 110-minute deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and Swedish massages in a professional and comfortable setting.
- Analyze clients’ current needs and create programmatic treatment plans.
- Clean the treatment room after each treatment and at the end of each shift.
- Comply with state regulatory board requirements regarding intake forms, waivers, and SOAP notes.
- Generate new business and retain clients by providing treatment programs.
