Licensed Electrician - Service & Sales Technician
About The Position
This isn't just an electrician role — it's a service technician + sales hybrid. You'll run residential and commercial calls across San Antonio and Corpus Christi — but you're not just there to "fix what's broken." You're there to diagnose, educate, and offer the right solution. You pull up to a home. Customer's got an issue — maybe a dead circuit, outdated panel, or safety concern. You don't just patch it. You find the root problem, walk them through what's going on using the Mister Sparky pricing guide, present clear options (repair vs. upgrade vs. replace), and close the sale with professionalism and accuracy. Then you own the job from start to finish — whether it's a quick fix or a larger ticket. The techs who win here? They don't just fix problems — they build trust and close work. This is a performance environment — not a clock-in, clock-out job. Techs who produce more earn more. Period. You'll have steady calls + real opportunities to upsell the right solutions. No micromanagement — just clear expectations and accountability. Team pushes each other — no coasting. We're building toward #1 in the franchise system.
Requirements
- Valid Texas Wireman or Journeyman Electrical License required
- 2+ years residential experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable talking to customers AND recommending solutions
- You're not afraid to sell when it's the right thing for the customer
- Self-motivated — you don't need someone watching over you
- On time. Always. (No exceptions here)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Full-time employment type
- 40 to 50 hours/week work hours
- 2+ years required experience
- Valid TX Wireman or Journeyman Electrical License required
Nice To Haves
- 4+ years total electrical experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical issues and repair residential and commercial systems
- Install and upgrade panels, wiring, lighting, and devices
- Present repair and upgrade options to customers using the Mister Sparky pricing guide (Electrical Solutions Advisor Mindset)
- Educate customers so they can confidently move forward
- Close approved work and complete jobs same-day when possible
- Use ServiceTitan to document jobs, notes, and recommendations
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites
