About The Position
This role is a hybrid service technician and sales position. You will handle residential and commercial calls, diagnosing issues, educating customers, and offering solutions. The goal is not just to fix problems but to build trust, present clear options (repair vs. upgrade vs. replace), close sales, and own the job from start to finish. This position is ideal for technicians who excel in customer interaction and are motivated by performance-based earnings.
Requirements
- Valid Texas Wireman or Journeyman Electrical License required
- 2+ years residential experience (4+ years total electrical experience preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable talking to customers AND recommending solutions
- Willingness to sell when it is the right thing for the customer
- Self-motivated
- Punctual and reliable
- Valid driver's license with clean record
Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical issues and repair residential and commercial systems
- Install and upgrade panels, wiring, lighting, and devices
- Present repair and upgrade options to customers using the Mister Sparky pricing guide (Electrical Solutions Advisor Mindset)
- Educate customers so they can confidently move forward
- Close approved work and complete jobs same-day when possible
- Use ServiceTitan to document jobs, notes, and recommendations
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites
