About The Position

Forensic Health Services, a Centurion company, provides forensic and mental health services to the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health Court Clinic Programs. The company is seeking a full-time Licensed Court Clinician (LICSW) to join the adult court clinic team at Plymouth District Court in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The position is in person, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and includes travel between courts during the workday. The clinician conducts court-ordered evaluations, including evaluations concerning the need for commitment of substance users, aid in sentencing, emergency restraint and hospitalization of people posing a risk of serious harm due to mental illness, court-ordered mental health evaluations, and probation evaluations. The role also coordinates statutory evaluations, triages cases, makes referrals, and provides consultation to the courts.

Requirements

Licensed as an LICSW by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or have forensic experience and be eligible for licensure within a reasonable time period.
Hold a current, valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
Be willing to travel between courts during the workday.
Pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

Conduct court-ordered evaluations, including evaluations concerning the need for commitment of substance users (c. 123, s. 35).
Conduct aid in sentencing evaluations (c. 123, s. 15e).
Conduct evaluations related to emergency restraint and hospitalization of persons posing a risk of serious harm by reason of mental illness (c. 123, s. 12a).
Conduct court-ordered mental health evaluations and probation evaluations.
Coordinate statutory evaluations, triage cases, make referrals, and provide consultation to the courts.
Travel between courts during the workday.
