About The Position
Elizabeth Layton Center is seeking a qualified Mental Health Therapist to provide outpatient services to the Paola, Kansas community. The therapist provides assessment and treatment services to adults and children receiving mental health and substance abuse services. Candidates must meet the minimum academic and licensure credentials required for Medicaid reimbursement and outpatient mental health therapy in Kansas. An SUD license (LMAC/LCAC) is required or must be obtainable within the first month of employment; clinical licensure is preferred. Applicants must successfully pass all required background checks.
Requirements
- Meet the minimum academic credentials and licensure required for Medicaid reimbursement in Kansas and to practice outpatient mental health therapy in Kansas
- Possess an SUD license (LMAC/LCAC) or be able to obtain licensure within the first month of employment
- Successfully pass all required background checks

Responsibilities
- Develop initial assessments and formulate treatment plans
- Conduct group, individual, and family therapy using a variety of treatment approaches
- Prepare reports
- Maintain appropriate records
- Meet direct service expectations
- Meet deadlines for daily paperwork and reports
- Provide quality documentation
- Maintain proper confidentiality
- Comply with ELC policies and procedures
- Complete required trainings
- Perform other duties as assigned
