Jackson County Mental Health is seeking a Licensed Clinical Supervisor for its Outpatient and Behavioral Medicine Team. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, recreational therapy, art therapy, music therapy, or related behavioral science field.
  • Two years of experience in a progressively responsible supervisory or leadership role in mental health.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be licensed in Oregon as a clinical social worker (LCSW), psychologist, professional counselor (LPC), or marriage and family therapist (LMFT).
  • Knowledge of clinical supervision for assigned staff as appropriate to scope of practice both one on one and in groups.
  • Knowledge of techniques and procedures used in evaluating, modifying, and motivating human behavior.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques.
  • Knowledge of Oregon Administrative Rules, laws, and regulations for scope of practice including confidentiality policies and regulations.
  • Knowledge and practice of ethics of behavioral health care and for public employees.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision to licensure for assigned staff working toward licensure.
  • Ability to provide clinical training to individual providers and treatment teams.
  • Ability to assess status of individuals and families for needs and services.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments and crisis assessments.
  • Ability to develop a clinical formulation and render appropriate diagnosis that justifies medical necessity for services.
  • Ability to develop and oversee implementation of treatment plans with measurable objectives that treat identified and medically necessary needs.
  • Ability to provide individual and group counseling.
  • Ability to provide care coordination.
  • Ability to provide support and guidance to clients and family members.
  • Ability to identify risk or danger and respond professionally and responsibly in all situations, including crisis, emergency, or dangerous situations.

Responsibilities

  • Review clinical charting.
  • Identify clinical training needs.
  • Coordinate with QA manager to create and provide training.
  • Work closely with program staff and management regarding meeting the needs of complex clients.
  • Liaise with community partners to identify and remove barriers to effective client care.
  • Identify needs and resources to support caregiver wellness.
  • Oversee caseload of clients involved with Behavioral Medicine Team.
  • Complete annual mental health assessments.
  • Conduct treatment plan reviews.
  • Provide short-term therapy services for clients not assigned to other outpatient QMHP IIs.
  • Provide clinical direction and consultation regarding comprehensive screening, assessment of client problems, diagnoses, crisis services determination, and referrals as appropriate.
  • Provide clinical direction and consultation with therapists in individual and group oversight settings to review the development and coordination of client treatment plans and services.
  • Sign off on treatment services provided by non-licensed or probationary clinical staff.
  • Provide clinical direction and consultation to clinical staff with clients presenting as complex or acute.
  • Identify, monitor, and follow high-risk clients, reporting to manager as appropriate.
  • Identify professional developmental needs of clinical providers and ensure appropriate clinical training occurs.
  • Make recommendations to manager related to clinical staff training needs or clinical performance concerns.
  • Monitor employee’s clinical performance and effectiveness to ensure services are performed with a high level of clinical expertise and professionalism.
  • Confirm that services and documentation meet client needs and compliance standards.
  • Evaluate overall program success of clinical outcomes.
  • Monitor program resources and financial expenditures as directed.
  • Carry a direct services caseload and provide clinical services to clients and their families.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, collective bargaining agreements, County and departmental policies and procedures, required trainings, and safe work practices.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships at all levels.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
