About The Position

The Mental Health Therapist at NARA NW’s integrated health clinic sites provides mental health assessment, treatment planning, and individual and group therapy for adults enrolled in NARA NW mental health services. Hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with flexibility to meet program needs, including evenings and weekends. This position provides both in-person and telehealth services depending on clinical and program needs.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
Certified as QMHP in Oregon through MHACBO and/or associate license with the corresponding licensing board (CSWA, Professional Counselor Associate, LMFT Associate, or Psychologist Resident).
Meets requirements as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) per Oregon Administrative Rules.
Evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills as represented in report writing and presentation of information.
Must pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
Must pass criminal background and DMV checks.

Nice To Haves

Active License in Oregon as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist.
Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification.
Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community.
Two years paid experience as Mental Health Specialist.
Dual diagnosis experience.

Responsibilities

Provide mental health assessments and treatment plans for individuals entering mental health services at the clinic sites.
Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based, culturally-specific practices.
Complete written diagnostic assessments and impressions, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries and other documentation timely as required by Oregon Administrative Rules and other regulatory bodies.
Create treatment plans with measurable objectives.
Adhere to program standards for direct clinical contact hours.
Provide crisis intervention services as-needed, including referrals and follow-up.
Provide case management for clients including referrals, follow-up, and outreach services as needed.
Serve as consultant and liaison with referral sources and treatment providers.
Participate in multi-disciplinary staff meetings, clinical team meetings, individual and group clinical supervision meetings, and other meetings as required.
Participate in quality assurance activities, including peer chart reviews.
Track client outcomes using Feedback-Informed Treatment.
Coordinate with treatment team members regularly.
