About The Position

RHA Health Services is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) to provide behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination to individuals experiencing mental health and co-occurring conditions. The clinician treats mental health disorders, personality disorders, substance use disorders, and challenges related to family, social, educational, and community support systems.

The position works collaboratively with clients, families, treatment teams, and community partners to provide comprehensive, person-centered care. It includes participation in interdisciplinary treatment planning and coordination with internal and external resources. The clinician is expected to exercise professional judgment and independent decision-making while maintaining confidentiality and meeting agency, ethical, regulatory, and professional standards.

The role is based in Taylorsville and is in person, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no on-call hours. The listed salary is $50,000 to $60,000.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited program.
• Current North Carolina Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) credential.
• Must hold and maintain a valid license or provisional license issued by the governing board regulating the profession.
• Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Experience working with individuals experiencing complex mental health and co-occurring disorders.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication, crisis intervention, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Exercise sound professional judgment, maintain confidentiality, and provide services consistent with agency policies, professional ethics, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and formulate appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Assess and treat individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans addressing identified needs and goals.
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers, community support staff, care coordinators, and other treatment team members.
• Coordinate care with external systems and stakeholders, including families, schools, healthcare providers, social service agencies, and legal entities when appropriate.
• Complete clinical documentation in accordance with agency, regulatory, and professional standards.
• Participate in clinical staffing, case consultations, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide support and coverage for Program Directors and fellow therapists as needed.
• Maintain professional licensure, continuing education requirements, and ethical standards of practice.
• Coordinate closely with the interdisciplinary team, including behavioral health specialists, registered nurses, quality assurance specialists, paraprofessionals, and the Clinical Director.
• Serve as an active, collaborative, and positive member of the clinical team.
