About The Position

West Meade Place is seeking a skilled and compassionate Beautician to provide professional beauty services to our patients on a freelance/Contract basis. This position provides professional hair-care services in a welcoming health care environment while supporting a positive experience for those we serve. The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors and takes pride in helping patients and residents look and feel their best.

Requirements

• Must have an active Tennessee cosmetology license.
• Experience setting and perming hair for senior ladies is required.
• Must have a sincere interest in and enjoy working with geriatric and other health care patients.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional hair-care and styling services for patients and residents.
• Shampoo, cut, style, set, curl, and perm hair based on individual preferences and needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary salon area.
• Clean and disinfect tools and equipment according to applicable sanitation requirements.
• Maintain appropriate salon supplies and notify leadership when additional products or materials are needed.
• Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate service to geriatric and other health care patients.
• Communicate professionally with patients, residents, families, and center team members.
• Follow applicable licensing requirements, sanitation standards, and NHC procedures.
