About The Position

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor II (LADC II) for Lowell Community Health Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. This role involves providing outpatient substance use counseling and behavioral health services for adults within an integrated community health setting. The position requires conducting comprehensive substance use assessments, individual counseling, treatment planning, and ongoing care coordination. Clinicians will treat patients experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health conditions using evidence-based practices, and collaborate closely with primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, psychiatric providers, and case management teams. The role includes maintaining a structured outpatient caseload of up to 28 patient visits per week with dedicated administrative time, and completing timely documentation utilizing the organization's electronic medical record system.

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor II (LADC II) license
  • Experience providing outpatient substance use disorder counseling
  • Knowledge of co-occurring behavioral health and substance use disorders
  • Ability to complete assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation
  • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
