About The Position

ShareHouse, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) for our Assessment Clinic. This position assesses clients’ chemical usage and treatment needs, providing treatment, education, and support to the clients and their families to help them develop and maintain sobriety and good health. The role requires experience in chemical dependency and offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and a culture that fosters creativity and professional growth. A $5,000.00 sign-on bonus is eligible for this role.

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a current Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) license in the State of North Dakota.
  • Requires current ND LAC, LCAC or LMAC licensure.
  • Meet exemptions under applicable Federal/state rules and statutes.
  • Requires bachelor’s degree in related discipline such as social work, chemical dependency, counseling or human services.
  • Experience in chemical dependency is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Mental health treatment experience is preferred but not required.
  • May require Masters’ degree in related field, dependent upon specific position requirements and program needs.
  • May require current Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker certification or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, dependent upon specific position requirements and program needs.
  • May be required to possess and maintain valid driver license and be able to be insured according to company insurance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to determine client treatment needs.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, using a variety of therapeutic techniques, to facilitate and maintain sobriety and wellness, to assist in growth and progress toward completion of treatment plan goals and objectives.
  • Develop materials for and facilitate client group meetings such as 12 step, relapse prevention, trauma, parenting, spirituality, etc., to assist in sobriety and wellness.
  • Assess client progress to evaluate the success of treatment.
  • Maintain records and documents on clients and treatment progress as required by federal, state, insurance/payment provider and ShareHouse standards, regulations, and policies.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings to consult with other professional staff to ensure appropriate treatment programming and client progress.
  • Refer clients to, and consult with other support services as needed, to ensure continued and appropriate treatment.
  • Conduct administrative duties to include progress notes and documentation, creation, and review of treatment plans, completed in a timely manner according to program-specific policy and procedure, to adhere to applicable state, federal, and agency regulations.
  • Provide and maintain reliable and prompt attendance, with the ability to work the schedule dictated by business necessity, to include evenings, on-call rotation and weekends as needed.
  • Assign clients drug screens and monitor the results.
  • Maintain contact and communication with outside agencies as needed to ensure open communication and transfer of information.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure coverage for client needs.
  • Attend administrative and other meetings as required to maintain and increase awareness of organizational goals and objectives; communicate information as necessary to staff.
  • Provide leadership in the advocacy of ShareHouse and represent the organization at outside meetings in a positive manner to increase awareness of and generate interest in program.
  • Serve on committees as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
