About The Position

The LPN II implements nursing care for assigned patients and assists the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care. The LPN II uses advanced patient-care skills after education and training. This position is based in the Urgent Care Center in South Venice. The urgent care centers operate seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Evening, weekend, and holiday work is required. Shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours, and flexibility to work at all seven urgent care locations is required; schedule and location preferences will be considered. Individuals providing care to vulnerable populations must undergo background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or otherwise meet the educational requirements established by the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Hold a 30-hour IV certification.
• Have basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Hold Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
• Hold a Florida Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Be flexible to work shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours and at all seven urgent care locations.
