About The Position
The LPN II implements nursing care for assigned patients and assists the RN with assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care. The role uses advanced patient-care skills after the required education and training. The position is with the Urgent Care Center. The centers operate seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required. Shifts may range from 8 to 12 hours, and the nurse must be flexible to work at all seven urgent care locations; schedule location preferences will be considered. Individuals providing care to vulnerable populations must complete background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing, or otherwise meet the educational requirements outlined by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Thirty-hour IV certification.
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
- BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR.
- Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (FL LPN) license.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
- Flexibility to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours and at all seven urgent care locations.
