About The Position

The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full-time Library Safety Officer to work at the Children’s Library & Learning Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. The role is 40 hours per week and includes weekday hours, evenings, and Saturdays. The officer works with branch staff to address daily challenges and public safety concerns, interacts with youth, enforces rules of conduct, directs people to services, and helps defuse situations in a positive, courteous, and professional manner. The position calls for an outgoing, friendly, team-oriented person who enjoys working with people of all ages and takes a customer service-oriented approach to public safety in a diverse and inclusive environment. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods and working indoors and outdoors. The position is open until filled.
