Part Time Librarian
About The Position
Holy Cross Academy, a preschool – 8th grade coed Catholic day school of 475 students in beautiful, historic Fredericksburg, VA, is seeking a part time librarian for the 2026-2027 school year. Our librarian works two full days per week (Thursday and Friday). Our librarian teaches classes weekly classes to kindergarten through fifth grade students, keeps up our circulation desk, and assists teachers in instructing research skills. Holy Cross Academy forms young men and women to be saints, scholars, and leaders in the image of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our Blessed Mother. HCA is the parish school of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in the Diocese of Arlington.
Requirements
- Practicing Catholic
- Active library teaching credential
- Teaching experience at elementary level
- Strong technology integration skills
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly classes to kindergarten through fifth grade students
- Manage the circulation desk
- Assist teachers in instructing research skills
