About The Position

The Liability Claims Specialist II is responsible for the professional, confidential, and effective investigation, management, and resolution of complex liability claims within the construction industry. Under limited supervision, this role handles a variety of claim types, including but not limited to automobile liability, property damage, professional liability, builders risk, pollution, vessel damage, and other related exposures. This position requires a highly detail-oriented claims professional with demonstrated expertise in claim investigation, analysis, documentation, and resolution. A strong focus on maintaining accurate and comprehensive claim records within the Claims Management System is essential, including documenting investigative activities, claim progression, reserve and exposure considerations, and supporting overall data integrity and consistency. The successful candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical, as this role regularly interacts with employees, operations teams, legal counsel, and third-party administrators. The Liability Claims Specialist II is expected to confidently prepare for and participate in claim review meetings, including Internal Legal Reviews, Operating Company Claim Reviews, Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Claim Reviews. Success in this role requires the ability to build strong working relationships, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain proactive communication with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the life of a claim.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree, preference to Risk Management or related field.

Responsibilities

Investigate, manage, and resolve complex liability claims within the construction industry.
Handle various claim types including automobile liability, property damage, professional liability, builders risk, pollution, and vessel damage.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive claim records within the Claims Management System.
