About The Position

The Liability Claims Specialist manages non-complex and non-problematic liability claims under the direct supervision of a senior claims professional. The role seeks optimal outcomes for CorVel and its clients, handles litigated files, and works within delegated limited authority while following company best practices. This is a remote position.

Requirements

Minimum of 1–3 years of Auto or General Liability Claims experience.
Active Home State/Designated Home State adjuster license.
Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience.
Current adjuster's license in the state of operation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to learn rapidly and develop knowledge and understanding of claims practices.
Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems.
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets.
Strong interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills.
Ability to meet or exceed performance expectations.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Multi-State adjuster license.

Responsibilities

Manage non-complex and non-problematic medical-only claims and minor lost-time liability claims under close supervision.
Receive claims, confirm policy coverage, and acknowledge claims.
Determine claim validity and compensability.
Establish reserves and authorize payments within reserving authority limits.
Communicate claim status with customers, claimants, and clients.
Adhere to client and carrier guidelines and participate in claims reviews as needed.
Collaborate with team members on more complex or problematic claims as necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
