About The Position

Acuren Inspection is currently looking for temporary level II RT Techs with State or IRRSP card for turnaround work. Level II RT Techs will perform radiographic testing (RT) inspections on a variety of industrial assets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service. This position requires a current State Radiographer Card and Level II certification, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in industrial environments.

Requirements

  • Current State OR IRRSP Radiographer or Trainer Card (required).
  • Current Level II Radiography (RT) Certification in accordance with employer-based written practice (SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or CP-189, as applicable).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proof of RT classroom hours
  • 40HR Radiation Safety Training certification
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain customer site access requirements.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and client-required drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and industrial radiography practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • TWIC Card.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional NDT certifications such as MT, PT, UT, VT, PMI, or ET a plus
  • Experience working in refinery, petrochemical, pipeline, power generation, manufacturing, aerospace, or construction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic testing (RT) inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, procedures, and customer specifications.
  • Set up and operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Produce quality radiographs and evaluate film or digital images for acceptance.
  • Interpret and document inspection results accurately.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, customer, and company radiation safety requirements.
  • Establish controlled areas and ensure proper radiation boundaries are maintained.
  • Complete inspection reports, exposure logs, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain radiographic equipment and ensure all required calibrations and maintenance are current.
  • Communicate inspection findings professionally with supervisors, customers, and team members.
  • Support other NDT methods when qualified and assigned.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel to customer locations as required.
