About The Position
The Lessons Associate helps ensure a positive experience for Guitar Center customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, answering questions, and giving tours of the Lessons facility. The role supports the lesson program’s growth and student retention through professional instruction and presentation, curriculum sales information, and lessons paced to students’ needs with positive reinforcement. Successful associates demonstrate collaboration, customer focus, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills. They work well with others, connect with customers, address service issues, communicate clearly and courteously with diverse stakeholders, and manage competing tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds.
- Demonstrate collaboration and teamwork.
- Provide excellent customer service and connect with customers in a meaningful way.
- Communicate clearly, positively, and courteously in written and verbal interactions with diverse individuals.
- Demonstrate organizational skills, multitasking ability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Increase enrollment in the lesson program by maintaining professional instruction and appearance to encourage student retention and student or parent recommendations.
- Sell lesson packages and rehearsal space, where applicable, to prospective students.
- Maintain curriculum sales information.
- Accommodate lesson pacing to students’ needs and provide positive reinforcement.
- Answer customer questions and provide tours of the Lessons facility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
