About The Position

The Lessons Associate helps ensure a positive experience for Guitar Center customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, answering customer questions, and providing tours of the Lessons facility. The role supports student enrollment and retention through professional instruction, a professional appearance, and recommendations to students and parents. It also maintains curriculum sales information and adapts lesson pacing to students’ needs while providing positive reinforcement.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds.
• Ability to collaborate, participate in teamwork, and build good working relationships.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and connect meaningfully with customers.
• Clear, concise, positive, and courteous written and verbal communication with diverse individuals.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.

Responsibilities

• Sell lesson packages and rehearsal space, where applicable, to prospective students.
• Answer customer questions and provide tours of the Lessons facility.
• Increase student enrollment and encourage retention and student or parent recommendations through professional instruction and appearance.
• Maintain curriculum sales information.
• Accommodate lesson pacing to students’ needs and provide positive reinforcement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
