About The Position

The Lessons Associate helps ensure a positive experience for customers and students at Guitar Center. The role sells lesson and rehearsal packages, answers customer questions, and provides tours of the Lessons facility. The associate supports student retention and recommendations by maintaining professional instruction and appearance, keeping curriculum sales information, and adapting lesson pacing to students’ needs with positive reinforcement. Rehearsal-space sales apply where available. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 5 lbs.
• Able to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
• Able to provide excellent customer service and connect with customers meaningfully.
• Able to communicate clearly, courteously, and positively with diverse people through written and verbal communication.
• Able to organize time and resources, multitask, pay attention to detail, and complete tasks thoroughly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Increase student enrollment in the lesson program by maintaining professional instruction and appearance to encourage retention and student or parent recommendations.
• Sell lesson packages and rehearsal space, where applicable, to prospective students.
• Maintain curriculum sales information.
• Provide a positive student experience by accommodating lesson pacing to students’ needs and providing positive reinforcement.
• Assist customers with questions and provide tours of the Lessons facility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
