The Department of Aerospace Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is seeking a LEO Lecturer III focused on teaching core aerospace undergraduate theoretical and laboratory courses and selected graduate courses. Candidates should have a strong interest and demonstrated experience in teaching undergraduate students and/or early-stage engineering professionals. Courses are offered during Fall and Winter terms. Candidates are also expected to participate in various departmental services, including but not limited to advising student groups and serving on various departmental committees. The expected percentage effort for this position will be 100% effort. The Michigan Aerospace Engineering Department has developed a curriculum devoted to covering the various topics in aerospace engineering: aerodynamics, propulsion, structures and materials, dynamics and control, systems engineering, and computation. While all areas will be considered, current needs focus on aerodynamics, propulsion, and laboratory courses. This position is subject to final administrative approval.
