About The Position

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University (ISU) is seeking a temporary, non-tenure eligible teaching faculty member. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate mechanical engineering courses, including lecture and laboratory components, freshman courses, and curriculum coordination. This role also involves other teaching-mission-related responsibilities such as committee work and mentoring undergraduate students. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

Teach a course in mechanical engineering.
Carry out effective instruction in undergraduate mechanical engineering courses, including lecture and laboratory courses based on department needs.
Teach freshman courses.
Perform curriculum coordination.
Undertake other responsibilities related to the teaching mission of the university, such as committee work or mentoring of undergraduate students.
Exhibit and convey good citizenship within the department, college, and university activities.
Interact collegially and maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
