About The Position

At Regions, the Home Improvement Financing Loan Application Reviewer is responsible for reviewing customer loan application, including the credit decision and verification documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance in their processing and relevant decisioning. Regions Home Improvement Financing, a division of Regions Bank, engages in strategic partnerships with home-improvement manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, trade groups, and independent contractors to provide Point-of-Sale financing capabilities. This enables partners to provide homeowners with an additional option to pay for various improvements to their homes, benefitting both the contractor partner and the homeowner.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Three (3) years of lending, documentation, quality, audit, or related experience
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
Demonstrated good judgement and professionalism in difficult situations
Excellent typing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
In-depth knowledge of credit underwriting and documentation verification processes
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications

Nice To Haves

Prior Lending experience
Experience in quality assurance, quality control, audit, or loan review environments
Banking or financial services industry experience

Responsibilities

Reviews loan applications, including the credit decision and verification documentation to ensure accuracy in processing
Documents errors and reports findings to management
Aids in developing training and procedural recommendations to Lending Management based on accuracy figures
Provides ad hoc reporting and prepares tracking sheets on loan exceptions
Audits loan verifications
