About The Position
The Legislative Affairs Commissioner supports Student Government’s legislative priorities by monitoring bills, conducting research, and providing policy analysis throughout the legislative session. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Requirements
- Must be an enrolled UND student
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
- Research and analytical skills
- Interest in public policy
Responsibilities
- Maintain legislative tracking systems
- Research bills affecting students and higher education
- Prepare legislative summaries and updates
- Assist with testimony and advocacy efforts
- Support legislative committees and initiatives
