About The Position

The External Affairs Commissioner serves as the Head Delegate to the North Dakota Student Association (NDSA). This role ensures UND is actively represented in statewide student advocacy efforts and maintains consistent communication with external student leaders. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Requirements

• Must be an enrolled UND student
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
• Interest in state-level policy and higher education issues
• Ability to travel and work collaboratively with other university student leaders
• Verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Represent UND at monthly NDSA meetings across the state
• Prepare the UND delegation and lead the coordination of reports
• Advocate for statewide student priorities
• Report back to the executive team and Senate
