About The Position

Stewart McKelvey is seeking a Legal Support Clerk to join their team in Halifax, NS. This is a full-time, permanent position. The Legal Support Clerk will be an integral part of the administration team, responsible for file management and assisting legal assistants with lawyer-specific tasks. Key responsibilities include maintaining and closing files, assisting with file opening, physical filing and indexing, scanning files, pulling duplicate documents, retrieving files from storage, and delivering files within the office. The role also involves saving files in the online document management system, entering and reviewing lawyer time, compiling court filings, drafting basic client correspondence, and booking meeting rooms and vendors. This position may require moving or lifting heavy items on occasion.
