About The Position

First Liberty Institute’s Legal Summer Internship offers a select group of law students the chance to train and make a difference through the practice of law. Interns will be based at First Liberty’s office in Plano, Texas, for a 10-week period from mid-May through July. The program includes hands-on experience with real cases for real clients, seminars on legal theory and practical application, and an internal moot court competition judged by actual judges. Additionally, interns will have opportunities to network with legal professionals and judges, enhance their legal skills, and engage in other enriching activities.

Requirements

• Must be a 1L or 2L law student
• Resume
• Current transcripts with final grades (unofficial accepted)
• One legal writing sample not exceeding 15 pages
• 10-week commitment from mid-May through July

Nice To Haves

• 1L hiring decisions will be withheld pending receipt of first-semester transcripts.

Responsibilities
