About The Position

Formlabs is hiring a Legal Intern for its Summer 2027 internship. The intern will support a small legal team at a growing technology company, helping the business navigate legal matters and stay focused on its work. The role offers experience with the work of in-house counsel and how legal guidance can shape company culture. The internship runs from May or June through August and is a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week. The position is based onsite in Somerville, Massachusetts, with a hybrid arrangement. Requirements

Be a current law student who has completed at least the first year of law school (1L).
Have strong writing skills and efficient legal research skills.
Be organized and collaborative.
Be comfortable working with AI tools.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience at a law firm or in an in-house legal department.
Interest in 3D printing, modeling, and/or digital fabrication.

Responsibilities

Draft and review legal documents, including vendor agreements, data protection agreements, NDAs, and corporate policies.
Research current developments in the law and advise business leaders on compliance strategies.
Respond in real time to business concerns with constructive and effective legal support.
