About The Position

The Legal Services Supervisor, Collections is responsible for overseeing legal files, ensuring their completeness and accuracy for court proceedings. This role involves developing and maintaining standardized legal workflows, monitoring case progress, and managing relationships with internal/external attorneys and legal vendors. The supervisor will also conduct performance evaluations of vendors, collaborate on risk mitigation, and respond to audits and regulatory requests. A key aspect of the role is developing and delivering reports on file performance, workflow, costs, and case outcomes, analyzing data for trends and inefficiencies, and providing recommendations to senior leadership. This position serves as the primary point of contact for legal services reporting and process-related inquiries within the organization. This role does not manage call center operations or consumer letter campaigns, and responsibilities are strictly limited to legal services and litigation-related functions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in legal collections, creditors’ rights, or process management.
  • Strong knowledge of collections litigation, general court procedures, and post-judgment remedies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff, client relationships and legal vendors.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure legal files are complete, accurate, and properly documented for court proceedings.
  • Develop and maintain standardized legal workflows, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor case progress, timelines, and outcomes and partner with attorney leadership to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Manage relationships with internal and/or external attorneys and other legal vendors.
  • Conduct periodic performance evaluations and audits of legal vendors.
  • Collaborate with compliance and attorney leadership to identify, mitigate, and resolve risks.
  • Partner with attorney leadership to respond to audits, legal inquiries, and regulatory requests related to litigation activities.
  • Develop and deliver reports on overall file performance, workflow, inventory status, stage performance, costs, and case outcomes.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding strategy, reporting and efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for legal services reporting or process related questions within the organization.
