Legal Secretaries provide clerical support in a legal department, court, or district attorney office to include processing mail, maintaining files, transcribing minutes, and gathering pertinent documentation. Employees in this job assist in the preparation and proceeding of court cases by organizing and maintaining documentation and administering oaths. Legal Secretaries work primarily in an office or courtroom setting and their work is overseen and reviewed by the attorneys to whom they are assigned. Legal Secretaries do not have any supervisory responsibilities.
