About The Position

Norm Ai, the agentic law company, is seeking an experienced Legal Recruiter to join their team. This role is instrumental in scaling the Legal Engineering team and will also involve hiring talent across Sales and Operations. The recruiter will operate as a partner to hiring managers, defining roles, building recruiting processes, and closing candidates. The position requires AI fluency, with candidates expected to demonstrate practical, hands-on experience using AI tools in their day-to-day work. Norm Ai is a fast-growing startup that has raised $85 million and works with institutions managing $17 trillion in assets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter.
• Proven track record of attracting top talent.
• Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building from scratch.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross functional partners.
• Are based in or willing to relocate to NYC, and comfortable working in a hybrid model.
• AI Fluency: Successful candidates actively use AI in their day-to-day work to support thinking, creation, and problem-solving. They use it to improve the quality and speed of their work and to continuously refine how work gets done end-to-end.
• Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate and discuss their AI usage throughout the interview process, including concrete examples of tools, workflows, and outcomes. We look for practical, hands-on experience, not theoretical familiarity.

Nice To Haves

• Experience hiring in AI, ML, or LegalTech spaces.
• Experience at an early-stage venture-backed company.
• Familiarity with Ashby.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting from sourcing and screening to interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
• Partner directly with hiring managers and founders to define role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
• Build, iterate, and scale recruiting processes tailored to a high-growth startup environment.
• Drive sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive candidates through creative channels.
• Deliver a top-tier candidate experience.
• Maintain a strong pulse on the talent market and provide insights on competitive hiring trends.
• Represent Norm Ai, helping to define and build our employer brand and candidate pitch.
• Track and report on pipeline metrics and recruiting performance.
