About The Position

At Shegerian & Associates, a premier plaintiff-side employment law firm, every detail matters, starting from the first interaction with clients and visitors. As the Legal Receptionist, you will be the first face and voice of the firm, setting the tone for a team that has recovered over $1 billion for clients. This role requires someone polished, warm, and exceptionally sharp, who takes pride in meticulous execution of tasks. The ideal candidate will manage the front desk, handle communications, and support the firm's daily operations, contributing to a mission-driven environment focused on justice.

Requirements

• Experience as a receptionist or front desk professional, ideally in a legal setting
• Clear, warm, and professional communication skills — in person, on the phone, and in writing
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle competing priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new systems
• Automatic attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and take confidentiality seriously
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2 years of experience as a receptionist or in an administrative role, preferably in a legal environment.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with office software systems.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Be the first face and voice of the firm — greeting clients and visitors with professionalism and genuine warmth
• Manage a multi-line phone system and route calls with speed and accuracy
• Schedule, reschedule, and track appointments — keeping the calendar tight and the team on track
• Collect and summarize key details from potential new clients to support the intake process
• Respond to emails promptly and professionally
• Upload, organize, and manage documents with precision
• Keep CRM records current, accurate, and complete
• Collaborate across the firm to keep daily operations running seamlessly

Benefits

• Hourly pay: $22-$23 based on experience
• Firm pays 100% of premiums for dental and vision
• Firm pays 100% of all Silver-level medical plans
• Firm contributes approximately 10% toward retirement (3% Safe Harbor + 7% Profit Sharing)
• $500 annual FSA contribution
• Accrual of 80 hours of PTO (additional 40 hours on 3rd anniversary)
• 40 hours sick pay
• Birthday off as a fully paid day
