The Legal Processing Specialist I is responsible for processing routine legal orders served to the Bank while ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures. Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow defined procedures and meet deadlines
  • Basic research and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively with team members in a fully remote and fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn and use new systems and tools effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • 0–1 year of banking, operations, or administrative experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process routine legal orders (bankruptcies, levies, garnishments, etc.) with supervision.
  • Perform basic research in internal systems to identify the associated BaaS partner.
  • Distribute time‑sensitive notifications to BaaS partners in accordance with SLAs with supervision.
  • Escalate incomplete, unclear, or non‑standard documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all regulatory and bank policy requirements.
  • Provide customer service in accordance with Coastal’s Core Values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
