About The Position
The Processing Specialist I is responsible for cutting flat material into finished parts according to customer drawings. This role involves working collaboratively within a cell alongside cutting and packaging teams to ensure the production of high-quality parts in a timely and safe manner. The specialist is also expected to cross-train with other team members and read and understand daily orders.
Requirements
- Able to stand more than 8 hrs a day
Nice To Haves
- Operates forklift, man lift, and overhead crane, according to NIM procedure
- Knowledge of how to run a 12' shear
Responsibilities
- Responsible for cutting flat material into finished parts per drawing, supplied by customer
- Works in a cell with the cutting and packaging teams to produce great quality parts in a timely and safe manner
- Responsible to cross train with a cutting and packaging team member
- Reads/understands orders on a daily basis
- Performs all other duties as assigned
