About The Position

This internship provides an opportunity to work with varying departments to learn the skills, traits, and qualities it takes to be an associate. The internship runs from August 25th to December 11th. The role involves assisting the Legal team with drafting, reviewing, and editing contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence. It also includes conducting legal research on various topics such as employment law, compliance, intellectual property, sponsorships, and league regulations. The intern will support the maintenance of legal files and contract databases, observe and support negotiations, risk assessments, or compliance-related meetings, and provide administrative assistance. Additionally, the intern will attend and contribute to internal legal meetings and briefings, and perform other assigned legal or project-based tasks.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school (1L, 2L, or 3L).
  • Eligible to earn academic credit for the internship.
  • Coursework or demonstrated interest in contract law, compliance, or related legal disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis) preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise independent judgment.
  • Discretion, attention to detail, and professionalism in handling sensitive legal matters.

  • Interest in sports law, governance, and professional sports operations.

Responsibilities
