About The Position

This is a senior, client-facing position at a global legal technology business focused on AI innovation. The Legal Engineer works directly with major law firms as a trusted adviser to senior legal stakeholders, combining legal-practice knowledge with technology to design, develop and implement tailored workflows that deliver business value. The role also contributes client feedback and practical legal experience to future product development.

The position is suited to a qualified lawyer who has moved, or is looking to move, away from traditional legal practice into a technology-focused career. It involves collaborating with clients and professionals across legal, commercial, product and technology teams.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD).
• At least 2 years of recent experience working in a law firm with more than 50 attorneys.
• Strong understanding of law firm operations, legal workflows, service delivery and the everyday challenges faced by practising lawyers.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including confidence engaging with and influencing senior lawyers and law firm leadership.
• Genuine interest in AI, legal technology and opportunities to improve legal service delivery.
• Ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts into practical solutions and clear business benefits.
• Proactive, consultative approach, with the commercial awareness and credibility to act as a trusted adviser.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Litigation or Corporate Law.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, configuration and implementation of bespoke AI-powered workflows and vault templates for major law firm clients.
• Partner with law firm stakeholders to understand existing processes, identify challenges and develop practical technology-driven solutions.
• Build relationships with partners, practice leaders, lawyers and knowledge management teams to encourage adoption and ongoing use of solutions.
• Support product demonstrations, proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot programmes to show how AI can transform day-to-day legal operations.
• Share customer insights and feedback with product, engineering and UX teams to help shape future product enhancements.
• Develop resources, guidance and best practices to help clients maximise the value of their AI investments.
