About The Position

Glassbox is seeking a US Commercial Counsel to join its global legal team and partner with business leaders on strategic commercial agreements, practical legal advice, and business growth in a fast-paced SaaS environment. The role offers significant ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and influence over commercial decisions. The position is the primary legal resource for US and EU commercial matters, including strategic deals, compliance issues, commercial agreements, and disputes.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the bar of at least one US state.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience as a commercial lawyer, including required in-house legal experience.
• In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and corporate law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely in fully remote work environments.
• Proven negotiation skills and a track record of successfully closing commercial deals.
• Experience handling multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, identify issues, and drive matters forward with limited oversight.
• Comfort using Slack, Salesforce, Chamelio, Zoom, and other digital collaboration tools as primary communication channels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary lawyer responsible for US and EU commercial matters.
• Work directly with the business and serve as lead counsel on strategic deals and compliance issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including complex SaaS, vendor, and partnership agreements.
• Work cross-functionally to analyze legal risks and collaborate with a global team across multiple time zones.
• Resolve commercial disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
